since i’ve recently learned that jay-z sampled “forever young” (pretty poorly might i add) i’ve formulated a theory that hip-hop artists are in an ongoing, unspoken battle to sample the whitest, nerdiest, WASPiest songs in history and make them into straight-up jams.
in my personal opinion, warren-g’s “regulate” is the ultimate winner so far. sampling michael mcdonald’s “i keep forgettin’” is the biggest win.

evan chandler, the man who accused michael jackson of molesting his son, jordan, in 1993, and then subsequently extorted some $20 million from Jackson (chandler was also accused of assaulting his son recently and received a restraining order from him) is now DEAD. details are currently pending.
